Looking at various photos, it seems that most owners want their trim tabs as far outboard as possible. If they are mounted that way, then the fish finder transducer has to be mounted inboard of them.

Is that a problem for the fish finder operation?

On both my past 22, and my current 25, my transducers (I have two) have been mounted between centerline and the trim tabs. They work fine. Colby

For the normal right hand prop, the transducer is on the right side of the outboard. If for some reason you are using a left hand prop--then the transducer should be to the left of the lower unit.

You want the transducer as close to center, but outside the flow of water to the prop. Thus a few inches inboard of the trim tabs (which are most effective the further outboard they are>)
