Introductions:
I do not own a C-Dory (Yet) My current boat is an awesome little West Wight Potter 19 named Marshmallow II
I'm looking for a C-Dory (22-26) to use as a dive boat and weekender for my wife and I on Lake Superior. So, I'll be sure to make a post in the wanted forum.
Anyway, just wanted to say howdy!
Cheers, |

Keweenaw2018, Welcome to the C-BRATS site, the C-BRAT family and all the complement of C-Dory boats. WE kind of like them here and glad to share, thoughts,(knowledge and fantasy), info and opinion about the C-Dorys. And FYI, many of us come from a sailing background; some with extensive cruising experience, some were or are racers, and some still have sailboats. Personally, it took me 4 years to sell my last sailboat, a Montgomery 15 that I had owned for 10 years. Most of that sailing was on the Columbia and Snake Rivers, and some on the lakes in North Idaho. Hard to give it up, but the C-Dory has taken me farther, faster, I dare say, safer, and been a ton more fun, both in where I have been able to go, and in the people I have met on the C-Dory.
Keep an eye on the list at the bottom right side of the C-BRAT Home page. When a boat shows up, don't be bashful. The good ones go fast, (1-4 days is not uncommon), so have your dollars lined up, know your priorities, and be ready to cross a state line or three. The best one on the lot may not be in your county or state, but if it is good, it is worth going after.
You will like it here, so stick around. Everything you could want to know about C-Dorys is here, and the folks are great too.
Best in your journey into C-Dory.
Harvey

Thanks for the welcome. I’m not surprised you dragged your feet selling your Monty 15. Gorgeous little boats! And yup, farther, faster, and safer is what brought me here. Thanks again and I look forward to participating in the community. |
