Yesterday we had 6 people stop and comment on the boat . And another took pictures. Today at the gas stations we had two people want to know about it and one semi driverr give us two thumbs up.

CDDF = CDory Delay Factor Laughing

Cute boat, looks kinda tug like, what is it and where do you find one.

I used to have a Ural sidecar rig. Just TRY for a quick fill-up, NOT going to happen!

You will have to get used to that. Just need to factor in about an exra 30 min per gas stop. Maybe more in your area.

By the way, I like the new initials -- CDDF. Will need to add that to my vocabulary.

Sounds like a good bumper sticker:
This vessel is subject to frequent stops due to CDDF.
C-Dory Delay Factor. Ask me what that is Wink

That is funny. Getting a lot of long looks from fishermen freezing in aluminum boats up here. Loooooong looks. Need an acronym for that.

I'm guilty of delaying the handful of Ural owners I have come across. Rolling Eyes

I have really liked those Urals since I first learned about them about 10-15 years ago. Everything about them is cool! If they would just source their motors from BMW or another large manufacturer, I would be all in!

Try pulling a C-Dory 22 with a 4-Wheel pop-up camper on your truck. You get comments about both ends. More delay when getting gas or peeing at a rest stop, not to mention trying to launch it.

Yeah, I remember those days. The funniest was when I'd pull up to a boat ramp with my car towing the 19 with a dual axle trailer....

Your acronym sounds too much like C-Diff and trust me, you don't want C-Diff. Laughing

I couldn't imagine that! Sold my pop-up truck bed camper just prior to getting my C-Dory as both get so many questions couldn't imagine having them together! Cool

I've had a few people stop us while hauling the boat to compliment us on it and ask us questions about it. But, what we found to most interesting is the number of people cruising on 40 to 50 foot boats, who come over to look and chat when we are swinging on the anchor. They are interested in how we manage on such a small boat, how economical we can cruise and dozens of other questions. One question that I have been asked more than once is "How do you convince your wife to come along with you on such a small boat?" My answer to this is to 'start by marrying a low maintenance woman.'

My wife was the one that decided we were going to get a C-Dory. After that things were pretty easy.
