I’ve seen some wonderful posts and photos from past gatherings at Cathlamet WA.

Would anyone be interested in getting together there this April?

At the moment, I’m thinking of arrivals on Friday April 3, socializing on April 4, departures on April 5.

I would be willing to speak with the Harbor Master to arrange for moorings.

Please let me know if you would like to attend.

This will be a VERY informal event.

I would be in but not getting back to WA until first of May...
Plenty of other CBrats in the area in April though.

It would be difficult for me to say no to this! We did April gatherings there a few times long ago.

I recall the my visit ever to Cathlamet was on an April 4th and there was a a trace of snow on the back deck in the morning! I think it was in 2002 or 2003 before any official CBGT was held there.

If the springer salmon season is still on it will be busy but they will make room for us, I am sure.

If I hear any more of this kind of talk I will be setting up a signup list and getting this plastered on the front page.

Hello, we are new to the c-brats but would love to attend this event, which is practically in our back yard. I've been gathering info on this site since we bought our 22 in August and it would be great to meet some of my fellow, local c-brats.

Well now, Wesley and Karen, welcome to C-Brats! And just like that, you are Cruise Directors! Don't fret about it - there are no official requirements. Generally the first person to suggest a gathering is named as the group moderator on the signup list.

Informal is the best kind of gathering, especially in a quaint little place like Cathlamet. You can expect a few more boats than you expected and it will be great. Pretty soon someone will be talking about a potluck and maybe fishing for those who want if it is still going on, and maybe a cruise up or down the river a ways. Or maybe no extra events.

If nothing else we can go across the river and look at the paper mill where I used to work and I can get the guy who took my place on the mobile crane to bring it down to the river bank to look at. How exciting is that?!?

Lois and I are in! Thank you for the idea.

Wish I was in the area and/or didn't have other stuff going on here in the midwest. I remember Cathlamet from our Snake/Columbia River cruise. Really a cool little place! Colby

We will need to remember to toast Yellowstone John at the dock. He was a great friend.

He really liked Cathlamet (he pronounced it Cath-la-met, although I think he knew better). He found Laurna Jo Jim's car keys at the bottom of the basin using his magnet on my fishing pole. He always had spectacular stabilized binoculars that fascinated me to look through. He dearly loved his wife Edna. He loved the C-Brats, too, and when he sold his first C-Dory he missed us so much he bought another.

I called the marina this morning. We have "E" dock reserved. Power and water are available on this dock. I also reserved their BBQ pavilion for April 4.

Here is the link to the marina:

So far, we have 4 boats coming (Zenith, Tyboo, Blue~C, clayhubler).

Wesley, way to just go and jump in here. Welcome, and glad to have you on the site and in charge (of a memorable) event. Memorable to me because I locked the keys IN THE TRUCK, at the head of the ramp Shocked Embarassed . Only took AAA 2.25 hours to get out and open the truck so I could get the boat into the water. I would love to come back for a do-over.

PS: The other boaters were very kind and worked around my rig. Nice folks.

I usually keep Big Sky there Aug thru October but I would be up for a get-together in April.

A Cathlamet CBGT sounds great! I was planning on migrating back up to WA in late March, but would make that event on the way if you don't mind my not attending with my C-Dory? The marina in Cathlamet has a nice RV and regular campsites right there and is also run by the port.

Steve, it would be great to see you there. I didn't know (remember) that there was an RV park there too.

This is shaping up pretty good here!

Of course you are welcome without C-Sharp! The motorhome is almost as good as the boaterhome.

Chuck - I was hoping we might drag you downstream early for this! You can bring Art along too, even though he isn't the Wineman anymore. Maybe he figured out how to grow Seagrams by now.

Thanks for keeping tabs on this Harvey! We am looking forward to seeing you there. It's been a while since I saw you on the water.

Don't worry, B~C. Even if I don't get this inverter thing figured out we can still brew coffee with shore power.
