I’m looking for an older model U.S. lakevu chip for my Garmin 4210.
Customer Support told me they no longer sell them and I need a 2016 or earlier and it won’t work with the Ultra versions. Can send cash - Laughing
Just fishing for some old tech ! Thanks

Hi, on our last boat we ran into the same problem, if I remember correctly the change was in 2015. we went on Ebay and found an older (2012) chip and it worked perfectly in our older Garmin chartploter. Good luck!

I liked my 4212 and sold it on Ebay at the suggested $600 2-3 years ago., and bought another 8212 for $1500 on sale at BOE Marine that Brent posted about. What a steal!

I was shocked that anyone would pay that much for 2009 (2005?) tech, but some guy in California did. Now you are looking for 5 inch floppy discs for your old PC and not having much luck. Surprise!

Ebay your 4212 and get a 12 inch MFD 2018 level tech at a bargain (like PC's). Now a Garmin all USA and major lakes and rivers G3 chip for $160 covers more than $1,500 in section chips used to. But not compatible with your IBM 286 machine.

Cheers! and good luck!

John

Of course you could always sell the old one and buy a new one. It will be faster and more accurate and the lake maps will have 1 foot contours. There's always an Ipad with Navionics it also has 1 foot contours.
