Has anyone considered or installed an aluminum mast? I am considering having a small mast made to house the all around light, GPS antenna, deck lights etc and was looking to see if anyone had done this before or if anyone had some ideas. _________________ Salmon Slayer

Salmon Slayer-
Will you ever be keeping the boat inside a marine shed / boathouse or a garage at home?
You will have to have a folding mast to get inside most shelters.
IMHO, the C-Dory looks better with a fore or aft rack across the top than a real tower, which "fits" larger boats better. My $0.02. Joe. _________________ Sea Wolf, C-Brat #31

Roger, I do like the mast on the Ranger but like Seawolfe points out, I dont want to screw up the classic looks of the CDory.
I dont have to worry about a folding mast up here and I keep the boat out in the weather (though tarped) in the winter.
I will have to give this some more thought. |

starcrafttom: That is exactly what I am looking for! Thanks. I tried Googling and have looked in all the Marine stores but can only find the larger towers and couldnt find the combo deck light, Radar, GPS, Anchor light etc.
I am looking at the 8" riser with all the attachments and the JRC mounting plate is included in the price. Much cheaper than having one custom fabricated. |
