We are still shaking down our new to us 255 and while cleaning found the window screens for the berth windows. I thought it strange they would open but no screens to keep out bugs. However, when I insert them and then try to close the window it feels so tight as if the window would eventually be sprung so as not to get a good seal. Question, does anyone know if you need to remove screens in order to close window for travel or whatever or am I doing something wrong? _________________ Rick and Anita

On my.Fetus ports that I put in my CD22, you have to take the screens out to close the ports. |

When Our Tomcat was new we tried to leave the screens in. Does NOT work. We insert the screens between the top of the berth and the wiring from the overhead light in the berth. If you try to leave them in with the window closed it will leak.

Thanks all for the replies. Always good to know you’re not crazy but having to take the screens out every time is crazy! Makes me pine for my ‘95 Larson Cabrio. truly the best most well thought out boat I’ve ever owned. And best camper canvas enclosure bar none!
But I love everything my lil Tommie Girl so I’ll get over the PIA! |
