Only 14 built and this is the last hull produced.
1985 18' Angler
Refurbished in FL thru Wefings Marine and various specialty shops supporting them. Canvas Unique in Old Hickory TN custom built the tall stand up custom canvas. Joe and his crew have done several C-Brat boats.
There is a link inside FreeByrd Photo Album to C-Byrd Album for pics.
There is a thread link following refurbish work... on here and I will try to find and post to it as to bring it back up front.
The boat today is in Mt. Vernon WA. It has been in storage for a few years due to my health and being of different sides of the country.
Basically upgraded to new Suzy 50 hp motor, new aluminum magic tilt trailer, new interior gel coating, and we took off every thing bolted on by previous owners, epoxied all holes, and repainted the exterior as well as new gel coating of the interior. Still at the end of potato harvest so Ill try to post more once the rains start next week and run us out of the fields. May haul her back to the southest if not sold up here in the Puget Sound waters area, her home waters. This is a special boat for someone wanting a bit of C-Dory history.
Ill try to post some current pics but its been a while since I have played with the C-Brat sites...and folders n stuff but I feel sure with the help of some of us original C-Dogs/C-Brats we can get ya what ya want.

This is a sweet boat. I have not seen her for a few years, but really liked her!

I can attest to the overall condition of this boat. I spent a night on her on the docks in Nashville . It was fairly comfortable even with all the tug boats going back and forth all night long.. it is a classic so has the flat bottom like an iron. It was nice ride on the Cumberland river. This boat looks like it did back in the 80's when it was brand new.

Hey Byrd
You should have said that you are driving back to Tennesee in a couple of weeks and could haul it back with you if someone wanted it in the east side of the Mississippi

Interesting you said that about hauling her back east. The emails and messages so far are east of the Mississippi.
I really thought one of the locals of the original home waters of the Toland family and original C-Dory factory would have shown interest but nothing serious or even close to reasonable have shown up. I was going to haul one of my C-Dory's home for winter boating and the 18 Angler won the drawing as she has the full canvas already and is easy to heat. I basically will just need to clean up the road grim from cross country trip and she's ready for a river trip.

Momma Ingram pretty much calls the shots on the Nashville river front area and after she passes away hopefully Nashville can and will do something like San Antonio did with a lock and dam system for a great set of venues on the water front, out of the 24/7 shuffling of barges (Ingram Barge Co...) with a nice marina like the one now in Clarksville, TN. Folks think Nashville is up river on the Cumberland....but those C-Brats. who have made the true up river trips can attest.... Nashville is really just sort of the final waters till she forks into the TN river.

I'm in the PNW, and as wondering what is the towing weight? How does it compare to a 16A?

Also, where are the extra 2' in the 18A, in the cockpit or "cabin" area? Is there a floorplan drawing?

Wood Z sorry about no response. I’ll get the numbers from you. I left weight tickets in my excursion in WA but will look n see what I can find. I was comparing my Excursion with a RF246 behind her to a 2019 F150 and my 18 Angler. I need to move her about a bit and go get some new fresh fuel in her before we go n see the Clarksville City Riverwalk light from the river. But high current due to 1.93 inches of water the other day and another 3-3.5 inches forecasted for next 24 hours.

#14's New Home Port.

Having lurked on here for years, I have never posted. I watched Byrdman's Hull #14 with great interest, having restored classic cars and currently owning a restored 68 Camaro RS/SS, I understood his fascination with the 85 C-Dory.

We exchanged many humorous messages over the last year after he put her up for sale, and I found we shared some passions. The hardest thing in dealing with the man was catching him in one spot. GPS trackers were made for this guy. He never rests. I finally cornered him in Tennessee last weekend, and Hull #14 is newly ported in Savannah GA. She is a beauty.

It was a pleasure meeting Byrdman, and now I have a nicely restored historic gem.

Saltwater Fool, Hey man you are no fool. Its a natural reaction, once you get Salt water in your blood, it never goes away. There is a long time favorite saying of JFK that talks of the salt content of the sea water, our blood and our tears and our being tied to the ocean.

Congratulations on the new to you 18. Now, stick around and keep us posted on how and where you are using. It is really a perfectly dimensioned vessel. Aesthetic.

It’s great that this boat is coming to here to Savannah! I think these waters are perfect for C-Dorys, especially ones without the aft cabin bulkhead (for good airflow in the summer). I had been watching this one too, but was never in a position to buy anything yet.

I think these rare 18’s would sell well if C-Dory decided to produce them again. I love the idea of a stretched 16’, but with a shorter roof line than the 19’ and less beam, so you can fit it in a garage easier.

Congratulations! I look forward to seeing you out on the water here!
