We are making a run north on Tuesday night (late ferry) to Telegraph cove for a week of boating in the Broughtons. If we get too tired going north from Nanaimo, does anyone have any ideas of places to pull over safely and get a couple of hours sleep? Just wondering if others have a favorite rest spot for the run north. We don't plan to take the time to actually sleep a full night, so a campground would be overkill.
We will be travelling with another truck/boat rig as well.
Any reasonable ideas welcome, and happy boating to all!

North of Campbell River, the view point for Ripple Rock is doable for overnight, north of Sayward junction their is a number of rest areas that will work. I believe there are some between the Ripple Rock view point and Sayward but I can't clearly visualize them.
Cheers

May be to late to help but Campbell River has a Walmart, if you were thinking of using the view point as a spot to sleep better off at Walmart, has way more space.

Happy travels, |
Greg, I'm sure you are past that point by now, but yes, Walmart is way better, and more level, than the Ripple Rock view point. Also there is a fuel stop, I believe it is at the junction to Seyward, with a large parking lot, and they have a pull in camp spot behind that I have used. Be plenty of room there for two towing rigs.
Hope your trip went well. I think we were up there about the same time as you were. Spent some time at Port McNiell, and Alert Bay, Sointula, and the northern Broughtons.
