“Comfortably Numb”

Let’s try this again! On his way from California to pick up the Comfortably Numb, the fellow who had agreed to purchase her (and gave me a deposit) texted 826 miles into his journey and said circumstances at home would prevent him from being able to close on the purchase. So, the Comfortably Numb is available again for purchase. Since the last time, I have put all brand new tires on the trailer, including the spare, and have reduced the price to $39,000. This gives any prospective buyer the full benefit of the deposit lost by the former purchaser. As they say, “His loss is your gain!”

Purchased new by me from Northwest Outlet in Superior, WI on March 21, 2008

How are things going? Do you still have comfortably numb? If so are you going to be in Alton?

Hey, Chad. Interesting questions. Great questions.

First, yes, the Comfortably Numb is still with me.

More to the point, I suffered a rather large and nasty heart attack on July 22. I was in a precarious state for 4 days, but am recovering now. I will not be in Alton, but the boat is available for an inspection and cruise here in Greenville. Alton is less than an hour from me. Just need some warning as I have to have friends help me, which is very doable. I am not even sure when Alton is... I am unavailable from Sep 6-15.

Thanks.

I'm glad to hear you are making it. The Alton gathering happens when you are unavailable. Get strong soon. I'm still looking.

It was a good and bad weekend, both. A very nice couple from Pensacola, retired Marine Kevin and his wife, Michealanne, purchased the Comfortably Numb and took her home. The Comfortably Numb was a beloved fixture here for nearly 12 years. I went inside the house before they left for home, so I didn't have to see her pull away with another truck.

The buyer and seller were both happy with the transaction, and that makes for the best deal. I understand they have no intention of changing her name. That makes me happy.

I love these boats.

Congrats
I know it's got to be hard, but it's great to see someone appreciate a fine machine.
