With so many problems with Chinese made trailer tires reported on this forum, this may be of interest. Goodyear now markets ST tires made in Alabama and North Carolina. Endurance series come with load ranges D and E and an N speed rating (87 mph). I got this from an article in "Trailer Life".

I am putting a set on the travel trailer next week. The Marathons that came with it have done well, but I worry about them constantly. My suspicion is that people are not careful about tire pressures, hence the bad name they've garnered. _________________ "And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. Just mounted new tires on our trailer, USA made Goodyears, they were hard to find but not that much more than our old lower load range Carlisles. _________________ Micah Curtis and Dana, RN

I run the Carlisles and have been quite happy with them. 15,000 miles a year. I really think it boils down to how you take care of your tires, and not spinning them at high speeds. (I don't run over 65mph, except to pass... Ive been using load range C, but just recently bought some LR D that I put on the back axle. Colby |
