Is it frozen? Mine would not turn at all so I gave it a shot of wd40. That did nothing. A friend of mine gave it a shot of "kano-AERO KROIL" (says the oil that creeps). I was very skeptical. To my amazement the knob turned like it was brand new. I have since used it for numerous rusted stuck bolts and it has not failed me yet.
Hope this helps.

The window adjuster on my '08 boat is a SeaDog part.

You used to be able to get a repair kit that was a replacement for the friction lock. You also used to be able to buy individual parts for the adjuster via the Diamond Sea Glaze website (I did). Those parts don't show on either the SeaDog or Sea Glaze websites anymore.

You might contact Diamond Sea Glaze and see what they say.

Otherwise the whole strut assembly is only ~US$20.
