I I talked to the factory rep for navionics at the boat show. He said that a Navigation planning program for their gold, hotspot and platinum cards was being released soon. This program will allow you to read your navionics card right on your home computer and trip plan right to the card. Waypoints, routes, tide info etc. the whole deal that’s on your chart plotter. It should cost around $150 or less. That’s a whole lot better then most of the pc programs. Nobletec is around $500. Below is a copy of the flyer; I found it on another web site. I can’t wait for this. I wrote them months ago asking for just such a program. I hear its been in the works for over a year. I does not matter which plotter you have as long as you are using their card

Veeery kewl, Just what I am looking for. I'm using the navionics gold chip with my lowrance 337c. just learned yesterday the Corps of Engineers gave us a disk of all 116 of our subsurface anchors for the seafair course, logboom etc. It would be great to sit here at home and download that all to a chip and interface it with my nav data. Makes finding all those buggers a bit easier.

Norm. The sea fair safety boat thing sound like a lot of fun. When is it?and how can I get involved?and finally how much or little can I be involved? Its a bust time of the year at work and I could only bring the boat down for two days. Is that enough help oe would I be locked in for 4 days at the track? Please send me some info. |
