Nope Charlie,

Didn't buy a new 25 footer. I like the portability of my 22' C-Dory too much.

Besides, John didn't bring the new tug boat for us to see. He just had the folders.

What about the size of the forward berth on the Tomcat!! We all considered the possibilities. It's mind boggling.

Sorry I couldn't have stayed longer but I was with a couple of non C-Dory guys who were in a big rush to "see all the boats and get back to Cape Cod for the Patriots game" - and we now know how that worked out.

John is a great rep for C-Dory here in New England - he nearly sold me a new one 'til I bought a pre owned with 16 hrs of use.

It was a nice winter show. I hope to see a CD at an in water show here in NE later this year.

How about it John - game for Boston?

Ahhhh,
How they taunt me! We actually had arrangements to make this Providence show an in-the-water show ( a first!) but circumstances were against us. The plan was to have the 25' Cruiser -we just got- in the water about 3 blocks away at a restaurant that has its own dock. Unfortunatley, the Seattle Boatshow got moved up a week and our boats including the Tomcat arrived only a few days before our show. We had a choice... Get the boats BEFORE the show without engines or rigging, or AFTER the show, complete.
Although my post high school education did not include any marketing classes, giving someone a ride on a C-Dory by towing it (row boat?) was not my idea of a good plan.
Boston has a 4 year waiting list so if you had listened in when I made THAT call when I tried to get in with BOSTON you would have laughed at their arrogance and my naivete.
SO, we'll be in Foxboro,MA March 12th weekend, and Portsmouth Maine the weekend after that (neither are in-the-water). We will get this done somehow in the future. Your ideas are wise but tough to implement.
From the Hamblet family and me and everyone at Y-Landing, please accept our thanks for making this such a fun event. Saturday wasn't like work at all. Tuffy was thrilled with the dinner invitations and is still laughing and telling stories about that and the rest of the day.
So from all of us to all of you, Thank You.

I Now declare the Providence Boatshow a HUGE hit and a permanent C-BRAT event from Y-Landing's view. You'll always have tickets when we're there.

Fair Winds...
John

John, that's the C-Dory attitude we all like. I wasn't there this time (SBS) but will be sometime in the future. Keep pushing, look for a C-Ranger dealership too, it would be terriffic on your lake (I'd spell Winnepasaukee) if I kould.

Charlie
