Figured since some of you may live here and may as many Oregonians have plans for a fun filled Labor Day beach trip I'd share the news. It looks like some beaches have fecal bacteria advisories.

Its funny, being a lifelong east coaster I always imagined the PNW as being the last bastion of clean, natural America.

Now with all the smoke, fires, Seattles low air quality, fecal levels in the beaches I'm starting to rethink that!

Hey Jason, You do know that the weather moves from west to east, so even if there are influences from the south or Gulf, much of that weather came from here Laughing

Now the water "pollutants", that comes from "up stream"

We do still have clean air and clean water, most places, most of the time.

Ordutch, thanks for the posting and link. Good info to know.

Jason, having grown up, or at least tried to grow up, in Medford, MA, I certainly understand what you are saying. But rest assured, the Northwest is truly a beautiful place. I love Boston, but I found my home in the NW.

FWIW - Seawater is about 3.5% salt versus .9% for humans. At 3.5% I suspect you would be fish bait

It’s from all the homeless junkies that are now here.
