I’m thinking of mounting a second Lowrance HDS gps/fishfinder in the back of the boat and since I will be adding autopilot, using it to steer a little while trolling. Where have mounted a second unit?
Thanks for any pictures and suggestions in advance! |

Does your HDS have connectivity with an I pad or android tablet? Some do. If so, one of those in an Otter box would be a good choice. Mount on Starboard side of aft cabin bulkhead.
Does the auto pilot have a remote? _________________ Bob Austin

The two lowances I have do not have wireless and the remote costs an extra $550. Any pictures of mounting it up there? |

If you have a circuit diagram for the auto pilot is is fairly easy to make a wired "remote" dodger. Also many times you can find a second control head, or wireless "remote" on e-bay or Craig's list. |

Thanks! I might set up a second Lowrance screen at the back of the boat, just commissioned the autopilot last night and taking it out this weekend for two nights at Sidney Spit and Pender Island. A before fathers day solo night crab fishing on a mooring buoy and a night with the family at Poets cove! Looking forward to using the autopilot. |
