Well after 7 weeks and 5 days in the shop we finally got the boat back. After driving 3 days to get the boat, then only having her out 1 day before dropping her off, that was a tough pill to swallow. Just got the name and numbers painted on and added a few chores to the list. I need to add bunk guides to the trailer and ordered some, but after getting them on realized they wouldn't work. A lot of boats sit up over the fender wells, my boat sits down between them. This made the bunks about 5" to wide on each side, so I sent them back and am looking for other alternatives. The tide rips here in Charleston, so I need to figure this out soon. Otherwise I've beed practicing with my buffer on a 18ft sailboat I found sitting under a tree for 10 years, wow the thing looks new. I'll be very happy if I get similar results with the C-Dory. Getting warm here and the weekends are insane at landings, luckily we have a lot of weekdays off, can't wait to get out and explore.

I can't wait to get a picture of her in the water. It was the artist's idea to put the name on the stern quarter. I was going to put it where the old name was up on the house near the pilot seat, looks much better here. I held on to some gold leaf from the last boat he painted 10 years ago, so he put me a star (for good luck) on there too, just need to wipe the gold after it dries. Very pleased.

It wasn't bad. $300 for 4 bow numbers and three boat names. I also had our 18ft sailboat done too (Rogue One). It's the easiest solution in my mind, pick up the phone and make a call, no measuring or sticking on vinyl. Plus the guy who does it always has better ideas than I do, so I'm also paying for his creativity.

Looks great, very stylish. You be careful docking now, no scrapes or scratches.

Martin.

That turned out really nice! Congrats on the boat, your going to have a really great time with it now that you have it set up the way you like it. Our ramps have been a little crazy down here lately as well. Once everyone has their summer boating fix it will die down as the heat and humidity go up after Memorial day. That's what happened the last two summers at least. Ill keep an eye out for the green Kestral Dawn on our adventures, though we haven't been as far north as Charleston yet.
