Hello, I hauled our 2006 Angler 19 for bottom paint and water continuously drained very slowly from a tiny hole under the helm station seat box where the fiberglass seat box meets the deck. There is NO visible leaking from any above waterline fasteners. I'm wondering if the rivets for the rub rail that were only just caulked last year (due to some popping out) if water had been slowly leaking in between the hulls there for many years and I now just noticed it.
Any thoughts on drilling and installing a 4" inspection plate in the Stbd cockpit bulkhead, removing some flotation foam and shop vac out any remaining water & allow to dry?
Thoughts?

It is very possible that the water came from the rub rail rivets leaking. When you say "deck" do you mean the inner part of the hull? How are the seat boxes adhered to the inner part of the hull? In the 22's they are adhered with zinc coated angle brackets screwed into the hull. That can be an issue if water is allowed to sit there.

Yes, I would make all efforts to remove any water which may be in contact with the hull.

Thank you for that answer, The seat boxes are fiber glassed into the 'inner' deck and inner side hull.

Still not sure if an inspection plate access is advisable in the side of the cockpit area. Has anyone done this? Seems like it would be OK and that ALL i WOULD NEED TO DO IS REMOVE SOME FOAM THROUGH THE HOLE i MAKE AND VACUUM OUT ANY WATER.
