...I should have noted that we looked at the non-sport Venture model before we bought ours and did like it because it was finished off really nice but because of the extra cost and ease of cleaning we chose the Sport Venture. |

Both are awesome boats! |
Ken,
Did you see the PM I sent?

the 25 seats 3 at the dinette
the 26 seats 2 at the dinette
the 25 is (supposed to be) self bailing hence the high cockpit floor and railings
the 26 is not self bailing
I have owned neither. (but I am a big fan). |

Two problems:
First although the scuppers are about 3" above the waterline, when you have 100 gallons of fuel, (newer boats have the water tank aft--20 to 30 gallons), a kicker, 3 batteries--and any other weight--like 4 big guys--the scuppers need plugs to prevent water from coming in....which brings us to #2:
Second--the cockpit deck hatches leak into the bilge. We didn't have much in our first boat--, and my son's cruise ship has dry bilges. That may be more due to the Calif. drought! I am working on improved casketing on our "new" boat. I think it can be improved. _________________ Bob Austin
