Hi all,
I know you're having your shindig but I haven't seen anything here that says Cdory will be represented at the boat show this weekend. Do you know? A co-worker said years past they were not able to staff an exhibit and we would really like to see a 22 and 25 up close! |

Been there every year I can remember and have indicated so this year again, even discussing plans about which boats to bring, etc. Which boat show did your co-worker attend?
Why not join us there and at the open house at the factory Saturday night?

Of course C-Dory will be there!! Take a look at the SBS Website
C-DORY MARINE, INC. will be in Booth WEST 22
Looks like they'll have a Tomcat 255 there and others too.

Oh thanks!
I am not sure what show he referred to then, maybe the Everett one? I did not even think to check the boat show web site.
Factory gathering this Saturday? What time? Or please point me to the post if this has already been discussed. _________________ Dreaming Wannabe |

Beware, a year ago, we were in the same exact place as you are now. We told ourselves we would like to own a C-Dory "one day". Attended the SBS with no intention of buying, "just looking". Long story short, we bought C-Dancer within the first two hours of the show. C-Dories must be contagious. Just being around the C-Dory display along with the dealers at the show ready to sweeten the pot made it way too hard to resist and we took the plunge. After a year, I must say it was the best spontaneous purchase we have ever made! We love our C-Dory! We didn't get a chance to go to the factory gathering last year but we'll be there this year. Hope to see you there!

Hey Wannabe, we'll all be there when you become a "willbe"
Here's the SBS Thread.
Take a look through those 12 pages and you'll find stuff out about the gathering on Friday night at the hotel and the Factory Gathering.
I'll be there from the Right Coast too, look forward to meeting you.

Thanks for the tips everyone. So the factory party is next weekend, the 14th? I'll be at the boat show this Saturday most likely. I surely don't mind driving down to Auburn nex weekend tho!
C-dancer, I appreciate the warning! All too often I find myself in that similar situation. (un)Thankfullly I don't have anywhere near the means to pick up a tab that big (yet!).
Edit: n/m I see it's the 14th on the Cdory web site. Looking forward to seeing the boats and their people this weekend and hopefully next.

Just as an aside, C-Dory is the Senior presenter at the SBS and actually has 1st pick of all as to location of their display in the hall there. _________________ Commodore Jim & Adm. Laurie

I spoke with Scott from the factory today, and he told me they'd have several models there. My wife is on the computer right now, trying to book us a flight from deep south Texas. Scheduling will not allow us to be there for your gathering, but we hope to have the opportunity to meet some of you around the C-Dory display prior to that.
We are VERY excited about finally getting to see a new example of these boats (only ever saw two old, neglected 22s... nasty enough that my wife wouldn't even go IN).
Looks like we're going to have to break out the LONG PANTS and real shoes! (It was mid-80s here today, sunny, and down right gorgeous!)
Best wishes,

I have just been informed that we will be there on Saturday thru Tuesday in Seattle (7th thru 10th), with two days for the boat show and time for some other "touristing". I get to see a C-Dory!!! This sailor-boy is excited!
Best wishes,

James,
We'll probably run into you on Saturday, hanging around the C-Dory display. Don't forget your hat, it rains alot this time of year. Long-time Seattlelites like myself prefer hats to umbrellas. But generally speaking, it usually doesn't rain real hard, just kinda drizzles all day long.

Dogone James, try and stick around a few days to meet the whole herd. The Left Coasters might be there but us Right Coasters are coming in for that nest weekend...
Nevertheless, glad you can make it all, sorry if I miss you.

... stick around to meet all you nice folks. My Mother-in-law's 85 birthday is later that week, and I am (reluctantly) required to be in attendance back in Texas. If you remember the Church Lady from the old Saturday Night Live routine, then you will be able to picture my situation! Given any choice (and I am a married guy, so...), I'd rather be with you guys than her.
On the bright side, I get to see these C-Dorys (wish they one in the water)! And my darling wife is an active participant (hey, she's handling the travel arrangements). We are really looking forward to seeing the Seattle area. I will be easy to recognize: look for the guy saying "Whoooooweeeee! Lookit all them boats!!!"
The airline tickets are done, she's arranged for a hotel and a car. I am pumped!
Best wishes,
James TX/SD |

James, we understand. All our folks are gone. At 85, she deserves your company and maybe, just maybe, she'll leave you a C-Dory in the future.
I know, I know, not nice. Hope she lives to be a hundred....

We'll be there Saturday also. I too have not seen one up close. Just a 16 sitting on the rack at the Edmonds Marina walking to the dog park to play with our pup. |
