Crossed Rosario Strait earlier this morning and we’re now safe and sound in the cabin. Our boat is bucking like a bronco on the hook. Be very cautious in N. Puget Sound today. The wind is really ripping up here in the SJ. Islands. Best, mike |

South Sound is pretty lively, too! The Toliva Shoal sailboat race has been something to behold from Anderson Island, whitecaps and heeled over sailboats...maybe they will set a record. _________________ Rob Harrison & Marcia Ciol

I was watching those westerly swells come down Guemes Channel today.
I'm surprised you bucked those swells out of the west, they were pretty large !
What island is your cabin on ?

We are on Decatur. We left Skyline at early slack tide yesterday and it wasn’t too bad, maybe 3’ wind chop becoming worse at Thatcher Pass. It just kept building from there but we were safe on land by 9. Right now I’m looking south and I see snow and building whitecaps over the Southern strait. We’re staying off the water today! |
