I think their target market must be the aging boating community and if it helps older folks to keep their lifestyle then I'm all for it.

My only gripe is that it just seems like another mechanical gadget that could break or not perform well in salty conditions.

Joan said I can have those on my next boat, with my next wife. She asked if I would marry someone young and sexy... I told her: "I don't want a young, sexy woman, Honey, I want you!"

Does anyone know how to remove a fender from a body cavity?

James, for $445 you can get one of them power gizmos to winch it out of there.

I got my "trophy wife" 40+ years ago when she was less expensive than today's models. So far it was a great move!

How about keeping the wife but getting a young crew member to put the fenders out? Think that would work?

Good wife = a 10! Automatic fender deploy device = 1. What other boat can you deploy the fender from the window of the pilot house?

Somehow, I don't get it. In 30 seconds, I deploy 3 fenders on one side from the cockpit. No climbing, no knots, and no hassles.

And as to the trophy wife, ya might get into trouble if you mount that on the wall.

Well, not 80 yet but yes I do have some mobility issues. I can only be in one place at a time and I have way to much ground to cover still. Cool Rolling Eyes and I still don't have a truck that gets 30 mpg and will pull my house . . . yet.

There will be some yachty who will jump all over that so's he can point them out while never leaving the dock. I have a friend who buys every gadget and would jump at getting this one.

On the boat in the video I think they need about 6 of the things, 3 on each side. I give any inventor credit who thinks up stuff, useful or not.
