I found the skinniest blade I have - a thin putty knife - and cleaned out the sides of the glass all around, and took off the end cap (easy). I could not get the blade in on either side of the handle. After everything was so loose that I could wiggle the window a little, it still would not slide, so I tapped lightly on the outside of the handle and it popped away from the channel. The primary problem was the metal-to-metal contact on the outside of the handle. _________________ Mona & Michael Rowe

Michael,
I took the liberty of putting a copy of this post on the original thread you started so we could all know the outcome:

Hey, stick around and you will pick it up. We are pretty easy going, and most are pretty willing to help out.
When you post in a thread, whether the one you started or another you are interested in following, you can click at the bottom of the posting window, in the box that says "Notify me when a reply is posted" and you can get an email notification when there is activity in the thread.
You can also go to "View posts since last visit" at the top of the home page and find everything that has posted since you were last logged on.
some do both, some do one or the other, some don't do.
It's up to you, but as Bob did, putting the solution into the thread that post the problem will b e helpful for someone down the road looking for the same situation you had.
Harvey
