My CD 25 toilet has a foot actuator for pressure water flush. Apparently the valve under the peddle has gone bad and leaks so bad the pump continues to run. What is the needed part and is this a WM available part?
Shocked

I have really good luck just putting the part number on my search engine of my computer.... does not matter what it is...the part number is usually so long that it will locate the part...does not work every time but it is close... When I was in Fiji I needed a solenoid valve for a water maker and just using the number I found the part in Chico Ca.....had it shipped ... using just the part number...

I needed a part for a steam generator and it worked just as well.. The generator had been obsolete for many years...but there were parts still available...

Is this the Sealand toilet with the integral tank? If so, you might also check the seal in the toilet: if there is anything holding that open, the toilet may run. Is the bowl filling as the water runs? If so, then probably the valve rather than the seal.

I did put a ball valve in the fresh water line to the toilet to be able to cut off water flow for those times you need to be water conservative.

WM does have some Sealand/Dometic replacement parts on-line, probably not in the stores, though.

A search on Sealand Dometic RV and marine toilet should get you the part number.

James is right on about adding a ball valve in line to the toilet. I have them on the shower lines also. We have removed the Sealand toilet and have gone to the composing Air-head. No more pump outs, valve problems or water usage.
Of course it all depends on how you use your boat.

For the Sea Land Dometic toilet with holding tank, the instructions, including trouble shooting are here.

The diagram and parts list is Here, the original developer.

After using the trouble shooting information, you may find it is a simple "O" ring, or some debris in the valve, and it may be resolved by just cleaning, or buying the "o" ring at a hardware store. (Be sure and get Nitrile "O" ring if you need that. It may also be a seal issue or similar where you get the part from Seacoast.

I doubt that West Marine stocks the parts at a local store.

Dr. Bob and others.
Thanks for this info. I will read the text you sent and when I fix it I will also put a shutoff valve on it. Couldn't wash off saltwater today because the leak was so bad. Sprays on the deck in the head. At least I know the shower bilge pump works. Wink

Are you running salt water thru the SeaLand (Dometic) 711-M28 Toilet? Mine have both run on fresh water from the domestic water tank.

Fresh water only.
I'll get into it in a few days. The manual was a big help. CoolSmile

Btw the leak was at the black cap on the bottom of the foot valve. Just screwed it tight and problem solved. The manual was the big help.
Thanks again Dr. Bob.

I placed a simple ball valve in the water line between where it exits the wall and the actual head. That way if something did happen when we were out and we had the water on, I could just shut off the head and we could still function. I have a spare parts kit on board too, just in case.
