Catching up! This blog entry is about our arrival in Cambridge, where we learn the intricacies of tying to "The Wall" and wherein we discover the function and value of spring lines!

This blog entry covers Saturday, May 20, where we sat tight in Cambridge waiting out the high wind and waves on the Chesapeake, and I went for a stroll with my camera. Lots of photos in this one!

Today is a "two-fer" on blog posts! This blog post covers Tilghman Island, where we ended up yesterday. I wrote this on our way to Annapolis, where we are just now arriving!

This blog post covers our cruise from Tilghman Island to Annapolis and our nifty anchorage in Spa Creek, with some bonus photos of Baxter, the Goose Family, the harbor tour boat, some colorful rental kayaks and a modest little shanty on the shore of Spa Creek! Enjoy!

Hi Pat and Patty,

The Navy is not the only one that goes to lunch in formation. But it does look good. hope you got to go through mess with them, that might have been an enlightening experience also.

Your timing there was perfect; just before commissioning. Most everything was polished to the hilt. Looks great.

Today we cruised from Annapolis to Betterton, MD. Nothing special about Betterton, so today's blog post is really about some reflections about what has worked and and what maybe has not worked as expected!

Here is our blog post for the last two days, which were both Small Craft Advisory days with high winds and waves. We found a wonderful spot to sit out the weather days and enjoyed a terrific electrical storm!

Today's blog post covers our cruise on the C&D Canal and the Delaware River, mostly remarkable for what we did NOT encounter - any wind or waves at all! We will be in Cape May this afternoon!

Today's blog post covers the Delaware Bay, Cape May and Schooner Island Marina in Wildwood. Like Russ Portner said, "Some nights the cocktails taste better, or maybe they're just more necessary." Tonight was one of those nights!

Here is the blog post for yesterday, covering Sea Isle City and Larsen's Marina, where Daydream is "parked"! We will be at our friend Mary's house today and tomorrow, and on our way again on Wednesday, June 1st.

Make that THURSDAY June 1st, and we are indeed on our way, we will be in Manasquan tomorrow contemplating the open ocean run to Sandy Hook, about 25 miles a mile offshore in the ocean. I have learned that if the wave period divided by the wave height is greater than 2, and the wind is less than 15 knots, we should have a pleasant trip on big rollers! Anybody else who has some advice about cruising in the ocean, your thoughts are most welcome!
