I took the sea trial boat is great I will repower as soon as I get a trl I think a tandem with torsion axcel s/s brakes and lower bunks.The trl will be a 102 in width so boat will stay inbetween the wheels If anyone has any thought on this mattter plz let me know before I order the trl . then off to Yami land to get a new 90hp somthing either suzi,yami or merc whatever i can find reasonable .I've updated my profile to include the hull number thanks Jim on Duck/Jennykatz not sure if I will change name yet to Jennykatz ??

Congratulations!
We are looking forward to the pics and the story.
One of the dealers here can set you up with info on the trailer.
There has also been a lot of discussion on trailers and trailer maintenance here so use the search function to read up on it a bit before you purchase.

Congrats on your purchase, I'm sure you will love your new boat. I know there are alot of people who love honda's , but suzuki did have a deal for a while where you got a double warranty for free, 6 years instead of three. I 'm not sure if they still have it but it's worth looking into. And I personally loved my suzukis, and am getting a new one on my Upcoming Cdory.

Heck... I'll stab at the trailer info...

I sell EZ Loader, so your information may be different if your not looking at that brand... We use the (TEZB-19-22 4300Lbs) tandem axle with brakes. ( There are many other very good trailer manufacturers )

Check your state laws to ensure you have a braking system that complies.
I would recommend you get side guides, and the disc brakes.
Even with the flush kit, drum brakes do not hold up as well as disc.
(There will undoubtedly be posts to that effect...)
Also: Conversion to discs, afterwards, is not cost effective.

Now for my own personal observations...
Most people don't invest in the trailer the way they should. Lets face it...
It's the "least" fun part of the package. Do not skimp here... If you have ever had a vacation ruined by an inadequate trailer,(or lack of proper maintenance) you know exactly what I mean.

I'm with Sark, I love my Suzuki DF70 and I'm sure I'll love the DF90 that's being installed next week. Unfortunately, Suzuki's "Gimme 6" 6-year warranty promotion expired on Nov 30th. They'll probably start it again in the spring but I guess that doesn't help you now.

Congrats on the new boat! I'm with Rabid, don't skimp on the trailer. Get a good one to start that has stainless steel disk brakes on both axles. Even if the laws don't require it that one time you have to make a sudden stop and it saves both you and the boat you will be forever thankful! There is nothing worse than coming down an offramp and having the boat push you through a red light!

Personally I would go with King over EZLoadr. I have an EZLoadr on the sled and it has had a lot of problems since I purchased the boat.

thanks for all the comments and suggestions I know now I will get a skiff trl where the boat fits in between the wheels I will go with torsion axcels and s/s brakes IM still undecided as as far as single axcel or tandem IM pulling the boat with a 96 mpv mazda to be replaced with ??? the mazda is fine for up to 3500-4000lb .Living in sw fla I plan to take the boat all over fla and then some. Tandem I guess would be better for long hauls but for around fla a single would be better getting in and out of parking areas .I have all week to decide so let me know how you guys feel .

Given that you are going to a 90 from a 70, I was wondering if you you thought the Suzi 70 was sufficient power or not for a 22? It is light, but less displacement than other brand 70s.

Yes the Suzi 70 is definitely "sufficient" for the CD-22. Once we went down to the 13 pitch prop, the motor worked out great. The 70 is very dependable, smooth and quiet. The reason we're moving up is for the greater torque and displacement that the Suzi 90 offers, it's a pretty powerful engine, the detuned version of the Suzi 115. In the final analysis, for the way in which we use our boat, with heavier loading for cruising and lots of fishing gear, I wanted the extra horses. Is the Suzi 70 sufficient? Yes. Is it a good motor? Yes, but for our purposes, the Suzi 90 will be better.
