|
|
Hi,
I recently posted a thread on props for a 22 with twin Yami 40's. I ended up purchasing 2 new Saturn SS Solas Props. #3331-116-11. The same ones as "Hardee" since he runs at a similar weight and altitude and is happy with there performance. I assumed new thrust washers and spacers would come with them and the only item I would reuse is the nut. It only came with the prop itself with hub installed obviously.
Can you just reuse the old thrust washer and spacer from the old yamaha props that were installed? My originals were 11 1/8 X 13-G yamaha prop.
Thanks |

All of the spacing/clearances seems to work, I'm thinking the old materials are fine to reuse with new props. |

I don't know how much comfort this will give you, but I reused. Only changed out the props. Still working. I put about 250 hours on last summer on the new props.

I have reused the thrust washers when installing different props--as long as they had the same hub configuration. New cotter pins/ and or tab washer may be necessary. The thrust washer for various brands of props maybe different, as if you use a Torq Flo hub prop. (There are several different Torq flo hubs) _________________ Bob Austin
