I finished my transom table/cooler rack. This idea was given to my CARPY and the table that he built. It is the same design but different materials. I decided to go with this design because it is the most versatilefor me. It adds a lot of usable space to the boat. Gets the cooler off the ground, Can be used as a table, or to hold a generator etc...could even be used as a cutting/bait board. It is also easily removable by just removing the transom bar. Thank you Carpy for the great idea!

I sized this table to fit a YETI 110 cooler which I will be buying soon

All hardware is SS 316 and the material is King Starboard. Came out to be pricey but at least I will never have to worry about any maintenance or the material going bad.

I still don't know how to add pics on the link so just check out my album. It is labeled Table 1 and Table 2. Thanks.

It looks great! May it serve you well!
I might suggest a couple of drain holes so that your cooler won't be sitting in a puddle.

Love the cooler/cut table. I am thinking of manufacturing one of these too. Where did you acquire the stainless steel bar?

Thanks,
Grazer

I bought ours from Fisheries Supply. Around $35 for a 6' ss tube IIRC. Yep, just checked $36.63.

And with a little removable pad, you have another seat in a--hard to sit many people--cockpit.

Very nice. Good details such as round over routing etc. I'll bet you are still picking Starboard saw-dust off your clothes though. Small price to pay for a great result!

Grazer, I bought the SS 316 round bar from a local Metal shop. Gorilla Metals in Oakland, Ca. I bought the hardware at http://marinepartdepot.com/

The Starboard material is from Tap plastics

Its been almost 2 years since I've made it and I'm very happy with it. Depending on what I"m doing with the boat it serves to hold a cooler (added a couple of tie downs to secure it) , a generator or a bait tank. I also bought another piece of starboard that fits on the top and inside of the lip that I use as a cutting board to fillet fresh catch. Its also is just simply used as a table and is kept in good condition since most the time the cutting board is in place which protects it. Very versatile and highly recommended mod. At first I was purely looking for a cooler mount and got this idea from another user on the forum. I'm glad I didn't opt for a just a cooler mount.

Thanks for all the links to source out the raw materials for this project. It looks like it is totally worth doing. I never even thought about adding a cushion for a seat back there but that would also work. Thanks again.
