My 22 is cleaned, waxed, winterized and stored for the winter. As my muscles slowly stop aching I am wondering what cleaners and waxes you folks out in C-Dory land have had the most sucess with - to me either wax lasts a long time but does not have a great long lasting shine or it has a great shine but does not last long.

My favorite is "Fleet Wax". I have been using the paste but noticed and used this fall a Fleet Wax liquid which was exceptional easy to work with and gave the boat a pretty good sparkle.

So how about telling me your favorite wax and why.

Thanks a million!!

Ken

This last Summer I discovered Nu Finish. I really like it. My boat was pretty oxydized and this stuff really cleaned it up with minimal effort. It can also be applied in direct sunlight. Take a look, I think you may like it.
I know there was another thread here somewhere about this topic. I'll try to find it later and post a link id one of the poobs haven't beat me to it.
Happy waxing....

Last spring Levity received a coat of Collinite paste wax. Brown water marks have washed off easily and the gelcoat still has a good shine. Collinite makes a paste and a liquid wax. The paste required more effort to apply but has outlasted any other wax I have tried. Collinite has consistently won independent tests for longevity compared to other boat waxes.

Collinite gets good reviews on other boat sites as well. I will try it next.

I stumbled upon collinite's fleet wax purely by accident a few years ago and I love it. It outlasted any other wax I'd ever used. Two thumbs way up! Mike on Westward

There also a liquid wax made by Boat Armor cost about 38.00 US .West Marine carry this wax I believe, very easy to apply work too. Why apply a hard wax when all the pieces of wood gravel, and sand will take it of any way . I usually do my boat about twice a year anyway. lot easier with the liquid wax!.... Gary SEARAM Did you guys see the new Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel wow ......
