Well....Sending our regrets that we're unable to attend the potluck tonight. Had really hoped to be there.

It was wonderful to see all you fine folks after being absent from the CB docks for so long! Thank you for the great time and the fantastic welcome.
We made it home just fine with no problems or tickets!
I have to start doing this more often!

Headed out right after the wonderful breakfast. Had 4 footers for the first 1/2 mile, now we're in 1-2 footers. Not too bad. Just realized we lost our burgee though. Good thing we have a spare!
Thanks for a wonderful weekend C-Brats! Thanks to Pat and Patti for tthe great planning. _________________ Greg, Cindie & Aven

Well, we are wrapping up another great CBGT in Bellingham! It was fun catching up with Tyboo Mike and the others who came in by car (Robbi, Fred and Robbin and probably somebody else I forgot to mention).
A big shout out to Mark Wright for a GREAT factory tour Saturday morning. We all enjoyed it so much and appreciated Mark's taking the time for show us the factory from top to bottom!
The potluck was typically fantastic, and Catman's trivia quiz was really fun. Thanks to all who donated prizes!
The 55' derelict sailboat tied up at P Dock for the last year finally served a useful purpose - it was a great windbreak for our boil-in-bag omelette breakfast! We moved the whole operation into the lee of the big green monsters, and had at least a little relief from the winds!
It is howling this morning as people are leaving, those of us who do not need to go out are staying put another night here at Squalicum Harbor!

Another great gathering...thanks so much, Pat & Patty.
You were spot-on about Bellingham Bay, Patty. 3-5 ft seas to Eliza, then increasingly calmer.
Many thanks to the cast of thousands who helped us launch ☺️

For James Bathurst - Captain Ron dropped in on our CBGT at Bellingham!
It actually served a good purpose as a windbreak from the howling winds during our omelette extravaganza this morning! |

We just got done packing everything away from a long 10 days on the water starting with the Powell River CBGT and want to extend a big Thank You to Pat and Patty for putting on another fun and successful Bellingham CBGT. Your hard work is greatly appreciated. It was great meeting new folks and catching up with all our great C-Brat friends. A job well done!
BTW, Blake and Rhonda are naming their Nordic, Sea Fury rather than C-Fury. _________________ Peter & Caryn

What a fun gathering! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Pat and Patty Anderson!!!!1
Kim, Sunshine and I had a blast! (And not just from this morning's wind )
Great pizza, potluck and those omelettes in a bag were wonderful. So fun to get to know people better and meet new Brats! We also got to show off our 25 to Doug and Donna from B'Ham and took a sunset cruise on Saturday. They are selling their sailboat and want a C Dory, probably a 25. If anyone has a lead on one, here is their contact info:

Not home yet but finally out of Bellingham after the Sunday windstorm and wanted to thank Pat and Patty for coordinating such a fun event, including the Friday pizza, Factory Tour, Saturday potluck, and Sunday omelets in the wind!
I met too many great folks to list but want to especially thank Patrick for allowing me to ride along on the 25' Kim Christine for crabbing at Eliza on Friday, what a great boat and I had a blast!
After sneaking out of Bellingham this morning at 7 AM I cruised South to check out Vendovi, then on to Anacortes for fuel, then Laconner for lunch, then I towed in some broken-down fishermen in a 17' Tiderunner from Whidbey over to Camano, and now I'm enjoying the rest of the day in a slip at Oak Harbor. Will be home to Edmonds tomorrow morning. It's been such a wonderful week of boating, thanks again Pat and Patty!

Pat/Patty
Nice job on the Bellingham function.
We left on Sunday at about 0900, found winds from about 170 at a good 25 knots with short coupled 4+ footers in Bellingham Bay. Boat got thoroughly pressure washed with spray and waves from one end to the other.
Wound up coasting along the east side, ducking into Chuckanut Bay then running south until in the protection of Sammish Island. After that, an easy trip back to La Conner, where we arrived at about 11.
Hopefully, you will do it again next year.
Thanks,
Kevin and Kari Ware |

Well that was fun, thank you Pat and Patty. What a weekend of sightings. First we launched at Washington park and ran to Bellingham. We ran across a pod, herd, group or what ever of pacific white side dolphins. They even can over to ride our stern wake. In 15 years of boating in the San Juans I have never seen them before. We get a lot of the small harbor Porpoises around here but never seen these guys before. One jumped out of the water higher then my 27. video one
video two
The ride in was great and Bellingham bay was as flat as I have ever seen it, it was a trap. As you know the wind came up on saturday night and sunday. Blowing 25 to 30 across the docks. Made for some great spectator sports at the dock. One sail boat with no sail showing was leaning 15 degrees to port as it came in to dock just from the wind against a bear mast. But the dinner was great as was the trivia game with Brock. Sunday night was dinner at Anthony's with about 8 people. Really good time.
We ended up staying Sunday night because of the wind but was able to leave on monday to check our crab pots and do some fishing. The fishing was poor so we headed to Blakley island. Ist it really a weekend of boating if you dont go to Blakley for Ice cream??? Then we heard the orcas where on the out side of cattle pass. We had not seen them this years so with the wind now down to nothing we headed out. Well those guys must have been hauling tail because by the time we got to the out side they were at open bay and north headed to turn point. We got to watch them for a hour between battle ship and turn point before turning east and heading home across the whole san juans. We made Washington park from turn point in 1 hour 10 minutes with a stop to look at imported goats and deer on spiden island. Yep, the decision to go see whales ended up being a 50 mile side trip.
Thank you Pat and Patty for the event. Thank you everyone for a great time. _________________ Thomas J Elliott
