Looking pretty much like we may have found our boat and I'm looking into a full storage cover. Any thoughts on getting a full cover for a tomcat? have is custom made? Anyone make a decent factory made one? All input is appreciated! _________________ Doug in Friday Harbor

It appears that Angola has made a cover for a Tom Cat, if that is the case, I would suggest that facility.
If you want it modified, they can do anything you want, and the price is very competitive.
Any good canvas shop should be able to make a Tom Cat cover... _________________ Bob Austin

What sort of money should one pay for a full cover ? I have a 22' and would like a cover....but it is really hard to beat one of those Harbor Freight $80 tarps.they last roughly 2 seasons....cover well and ya just throw em away when you are done.....

A Sunbrella cover for a 22 cruiser from Angola canvas was ~US$800 + shipping when I talked to them about a year and half ago.
If you send them pictures and measurements they will put in reinforcements and pockets as required for the stuff you have sticking up on the roof. Extensive mods (like for an arch) will probably cost something extra, but you'd need to contact them to find out.
They have cover patterns for most of the C-Dory models.
Based on online prices I could find a 22 cover might be between US$840 and US$1560 for the material (depends on color and type you choose). Perhaps Angola gets their material in bulk at a lower cost. |

We bought a sunbrella cover for our CD22 from Angola 2 years ago. I think it cost about one boat unit, including shipping and options. Ours had a modification for the radar on a pedestal; more thorough closure at the outboard; and it was longer all around to cover the gelcoat stripe below the rubrail.
I thought the value was great, the workmanship never left us wanting, and it was great to be able to cover the boat. The fit was perfect for a stationary trailer cover, and there were no areas where I felt the cover would damage the boat by chafing. We would put the boat away clean, and the cover kept the sun, dirt, pollen, bugs, and bird droppings away. I wish I had a similar cover for IRENE. I think it's a great way to reduce work and reduce wear and tear.

Angola did my cover on the 22 a few years ago, great work and fast delivery, was just over 800 for Sunbrella. |

Ditto. Angola made ours and modified it for the arch we have. I just sent him basic measurements and a diagram and voila. Perfect fit. Still on there 5 yrs later. I just order an engine hood for our main since the "Suzuki" one just fell apart, literally. The thread rotted away and it came out of the washer in 4 pieces. IIRC the cover was a little over $1K (Sunbrella) with shipping and you can even choose your color/material. _________________ "We can go over there...behind the 'little one'....."
