Rained so much up north this year, I couldn't stand it any longer.
I finally moved the windshield wipers.
They had originally been mounted in the corners of the windshield by someone who obviously never had to use them.
Those short little blades would only reach the upper corner of the windshield and my neck wasn't long enough to see through the clear spot.
I drilled new holes, top center of each window and remounted the "Swipes".
Now I can see just fine and the old holes are filled with a couple of plastic plugs from Lowe's. |

Glad that is working for you. I looked at you album and remember you from Reid Harbor up on Stewart Is. That little 16 really looks nice. Must be running better now.

Thanks Harvey,
I love the boat. She's a Cork and banks like an airplane.
Though it still bothers me a bit to be referred to as CUTE !! (And my friends know it.) |

I looked around and had to end up buying the whole unit. I think they were $16.00 a piece.
I think finding, or making some kind of an adapter may be one of my winter projects this year. |

Where'd you get the unit? Have a link. Think of motorizing? |

Don't remember where I got them. And can't find it on computer. Seems like I bought them on e-bay though. For the times I have to use them, I'll stick with hand operated. |

If I remember correctly, someone mentioned that the 11" FLAT wipers on the standard C-Dory issue wiper assemblies could be found for CHEAP at NAPA auto parts stores where the were listed as replacements for JEEP CJ series flat windshields.
Of course, my memory is not always 100% !!!
ON EDIT: Try- NAPA 60-1233 wiper blade, only $8.10!

Thanks Joe, I'll check it out.
The main problem with replacements is the blade connector.
They used to give you adapters with the blade kit, but not anymore. |

Thanks Wolf, They can be found online at Napa part 601233. Seems like you have to go pick them up. So I'll report back over weekend. |
