Has any one seen the 2016 22 cruiser, 23 venture, and 25 tomcat. They are all on boat trader and are really cool. |

I missed the factory tour on the 19th, but there were a group from the Bellingham CBGT there that went over for a tour and met with some of the factory folks. I din't hear anything about alternate hull colors but maybe that is just the 92 Cruiser Classic. Nope, its on a 2016 22 Cruiser too. Can't say I like the look. Changes the silhouette, and, for me, it looks weird. going to be hard to recognize from a long ways away as a C-Dory.
On Edit: sorry, I tried to get the image to come over but I'm just getting the long URL.

One thing I noticed in the pictures of the new 22 is the panel that covers the anchor locker. I wonder if it can be retrofitted to my '08 22. Yes, I can make my own, but if the factory makes one that fits right in, it might be worth the cost to get it rather than spending the time and effort to make one myself. My job means I don't have a lot of time to work on my boat. I'm still working off the initial list of mods/changes from when I bought it almost 3 years ago. |

That, my friend, is the process of owning a C-Dory. I'm still doing the same after 9 years, and the list seems like it never gets completed. Part of the fun....
But your point makes good sense.

Since no link was posted, here's a photo...
Kind of a "reverse" of what we're used to for the hull color/stripe. |

This new color scheme could be the basis of a new poll here on the C-
Brats. Like it? Yes? No?

The 22 I saw was darker. Maybe dark blue or green or even black. Did not like. Joe, Thanks for bringing over the picture, and I DO LIKE the idea of a poll.
I'm hoping they just did that in photo shop, for a test pix, not for real.

In this picture, the bow reminds me of over applied lipstick.
However, I do like some of the newer colors. Maybe there is an option if you order a boat to have the color applied in the new or "traditional" pattern. |

This pattern, seems to me for it to work out, should be totally reversed out, so all the deck and house should be colored and the strip left white. Then the pattern would still be a recognizable C-Dory without having to be tied up next to it at the dock.
I still would like to see a poll, but not sure how that is accomplished.

Yeah it reminds me of the black 2013 ventures that were manufactured. There were just a few of them but the hull was all black. I'll agree the 22 cruiser looks a little odd but if the venture hull was red or black then I think it would be pretty cool. |

Not a fan, the ventures with solid color on the bottoms look good but I don't like the reverse colors at all.

Sounds like I am in the minority but I really like the reverse paint scheme on the Venture. Also like the new colors being offered. Change is good and I suspect the final decision will be left to the person (or dealer) making the order, so if they want tradition that is probably still available. I am pleased to see the factory making an effort to reinvigorate the brand!

The color on the new 22 on our lot is the traditional "tailgate blue " .Its reticulated because we wanted to do something a bit different . The solid color Ventures were also built for Wefings and they were not black but solid "tailgate blue" [by the way, they were the first to sell ]The Tomcat with my old sales guy Buzz in the back [with the camera 2007 vintage] is photoshopped by us to show colors to folks . Here is a "real" tailgate blue tomcat gallery .If you were a new buyer looking for a C Dory ,you might not just look at it and say "it looks different than what I have seen, so I dont like it "
NMI and Wefings have been very interested in making boats that retain what's great about C Dorys but letting folks express their style . Yes we can make the traditional boats , but a manufacturer needs to give folks reasons to buy new . And a stake in the process as well . Colors and fabrics are part of that customization process . I have not seen better built boats than we are getting now . We have electrical and mechanical options that we never were able to get before and its great to work with a company that dedicated to growing the brand again .
Like this 2016 Venture 26 in aqua and bright white, built for a couple in South Florida _________________ Wefings Marine Website
