If you are bored, you can read all the gory the details here at http://www.cruisingdream.com/2015/08/first-cruise-on-our-c-dory-22-fenelon.html

Steph, great trip! Fenlon Falls is a beautiful place! We have stayed several times at the bottom of the lock. They do have power at the top though if you need it(for an extra fee). Rosedale is also a great place to stay. Watch for the eagle when you cross Canal lake. On Balsam Lake a nice side trip is up to Coboconk. Free to stay at the town dock, nice restaurants, etc. Just watch the depth when you pass the last red buoy going in.
Another great side trip for a Cdory if you want to go a little farther than Fenlon falls is down to Lindsay. $20. at Riviera Park for any size boat. Power, showers, etc. From the dock we had a beautiful sunset looking down the river.(picture in my album) Bobcaygeon is also a great place but very crowded in summer.
Lots of anchorages on Cameron Lake if you prefer. Our favorite was the N/W corner just above Rosedale. Grass and shallow but well protected. Another great place to anchor is Big Island on Pigeon Lake.

Great first cruise in a fun cruising area - we really enjoyed our time on the Trent-Severn. That boat will take you to all kinds of great places - enjoy! |

Thanks Robert and James.
If the weather had looked good for Monday, we would have stopped at Coboconk on the way back.
Lake Cameron indeed look great for anchoring. Probably next time.
How do you create albums here?
Thanks! _________________ Steph |

Steph, if you click on "help" at top right hand corner of page the first thing that pops up is "how to create an album". It will give you a link to click on and you have to send a message to the site owners, they will set it up for you. They are normally very prompt at responding.

Nice write up, and grat trip. Some time I hope to get back that way and try some of the eastern cruising areas. Aren't the locks fun? Thanks for sharing your adventure.
