|
|
I am wondering why some 2008 CD25 models have flush doors under the sink and others have the doors hinged on the outside of the cabinet? 2007 models seem to be a similar situation. Are the sink cabinets molded fibreglass?
I haven't bought a CD25 yet but curious as to the differences.
Thanks John. |

John, at some point they made CD's with a molded FG interior and the doors and hatches were likely different. Others were Decragard, a Formica like material over marine plywood. The latter lent itself to much easier modification and I for one, liked it a lot more. The former may be easier to keep clean due to rounded vice sharp corners.
Happy hunting.

We are very glad we got our CD25 before they switched to the molded interior. This is what a Decgraguard interior allowed us to do (a David McKibben design, which the factory constructed at no additional charge, we thought they should make it standard, it is so much more functional):

I can't speak to the 25's, but on the 22's even within the years-long run of Decraguard cabinets, there were inset doors (which my 22 has), and then later overlay doors, often (always?) trimmed with teak. I slightly prefer the inset, but would have taken either on the right boat for me.
Another difference I think I've noticed is that some of the under galley cabinets have two door with no stile between (mine are like this), while others have a stile between the two lower doors. |

Decraguard interior and the doors are surface mount on our 2007. _________________ "We can go over there...behind the 'little one'....."
