There are so many new C-Brats...this is a history lesson I wrote as a blog post in 2009 which I have uploaded here as a PDF. Perhaps you will find it interesting if you wondered about the name "C-Brats"! Most interesting are the comment by Dale, the Grand Poohbah of C-Dogs, and DaNag's comment about Dale's comment. Anyway, I don't know how long I will keep the Blogspot blog, and I thought this one should be preserved in the Document Library here!

Pat, thanks for putting that out there " in public". I had read it before--and as always it is a reminder to all of us.

We are so fortunate to have such a great group of members. Some C Dory owners choose not to be involved in the site--but I think they miss out on a lot. It is great people like Pat and Patty--as well as a whole bunch of others, especially including Tyboo and DaNag, who make up the family.

I consider the C Brat community as an extended family. It is one of the greatest bunch of people I have known thru my life. In many ways it reminds me of a "yacht club" (perhaps in the loosest sense of the word) which my father, and then I belonged to in S. Calif, which has endured since 1936. There was never any pretentiousness; The "extended family" aspect of that and this organization. were what made them great.

Thanks Pat. That is really good.

I have heard the C-Brats referred to as a virtual yacht club early on and have used that as the easiest way to explain it to new folks, or somebody asking about the boat, or why I spend time checking in frequently and it isn't for work.

It's a great place, and a great group.

Thanks to all.
