That would be a 2906 mile one way tow...but do-able from here in Stanwood WA. Have spent the summer months here in the Puget Sound area with SENSEI family enjoying the corn farming, shrimping and crabbing & now the salmon are starting to run. Plan to head back to the southeast after the potato harvest so if weather stays proper... who knows... That is about a 5 day tow... or...as I am getting a touch older.... 4 days back to TN... a day of rest and down time... then... a full day to Eastpoint. Would love a batch of the local oysters!

Barb and bill hunt hope to attend to compare c dory 22 and 25 models. We currently have a Willard 30' trawler but are looking to downsize. We can't get there until late Thursday. Anything going on Thursday night and Friday that we can attend? Thanks. |

Bill and Barb , we really start things off Fri eve. Its very informal and is essentially a bunch of C Dory and Ranger Tugs owners [and others] eating, socializing , doing some cruising and hanging out Gulf Coast Style till Sun. We always have folks that will show their boats and you can usually jump on a few to check them out . We will look forward to meeting you !

Hey Marc! Glad Shug is still barking...and more than likely she is still nipping at your toes if cooking in the kitchen bare footed. Thanks for keeping me posted on the garage fridge. Never will forget the night Brigner (C-Pearl) and myself help the local establishments till they closed and we went to that fridge for one more before hitting the hotel for the night. WOW...who's idea was it to make a pumpkin beer? Made for a great body flush in about 5 seconds. I will use a flash light next time round. Hope to make it, but the potato harvest has not yet started.

Just to confirm those dates it's October 24th thru 26th. We expect our usual 20 bucks or so and 50 or 60 people on Saturday night. More are always welcome. The Water Street Hotel and all the hotels a lot of business going on but they have 5 rooms booked ,they're not inexpensive but very nice. Delores Roux has her two cabins near Rivercrest available. And of course we have the Gibson Inn and the River Inn, the Best Western etc.......
I'll put the contact information here shortly.

Just checked the Water Street Hotel via travel site & no rooms left. Bummer.
I liked staying their as no road vehicle was needed to get between my slip right at the hotel to the little cove @ John Bones place, just upriver a bit right after you go under the railroad bridge. Just do not cut the corner coming back from the party to the hotel. Sand bar goes way long. Kind of a down and back move.
Marc may have some rooms reserved for the group? Did not read entire link here. Rooms are spendy, but nice, clean & with slip. Seems like we use to get our slip fee waived due to group...but that was years ago and their customer base is more than likely grown to where they don't do it.
Marc, is the Oyster guy coming Saturday night? I sure miss those local oysters. None better anywhere. Seattle pricing is about $30 a dozen in any restaurant that you can see the water from. And, not as good...in my humble opinion.
Not looking good on timeline here. Harvest delayed due to rain....and it is still raining. Maybe a flight to Panama City and back to Seattle ...use up some of those flyer points. |

We just dragged the boat three days back from Lake Powell. Probably will leave it at home and come again this year with our R POD travel trailer. But we wouldn't miss it. Great people and good times. Mark, thanks for having us. _________________ I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR - That's what makes the search so exciting! |

If Patrick is coming from Stanwood, I would be willing to send a case or two of fine Snoqualmie beer for him to deliver to the gathering...we were hoping to do it this year, but not to be. A DEFINITE possibility for next year after the Grand Slam of Western Lakes, then on to Florida! That is our thought as of right now!
