Well the first event of this CBGT is confirmed. Once again we will be doing a dinner at the Snoqualmie Brewery and Taproom. This event will take place on Friday, Jan 23rd from 5-9PM. The cost will be $15 for the meal. In the past few years, I've had a hard time getting firm numbers to the taproom in time for them to adequately prepare due to uncertainties in who was and wasn't coming. As a result, the plan is that those who are planning to attend must pay in advance and the monies must be received by me no later than 10 days in advance of the event (e.g. by Jan 13, 2015). The easiest way for me will be to send me a check but for those who would rather pay by card, I'll find a way to set something up for this (likely paypal). I've had some discussions with the factory this year and it's likely that they will be able to contribute in some way to a door prize or two. I'll work on lining up some more.
Also, similar to the past 2 years, I'll put together a rental van option so the out of towners can get a ride from the boat show to the brewery.
For now, mark your calendars for Friday, Jan 23, 5-9PM. _________________ Roger on Meant to be |

Okay, since Andrews Bay is essentially 3 blocks from Peter's house, how 'bout if we--I'm just throwing this out there--how about if we all anchor in the bay, row to shore in our respective dinghys (or one may be provided for you), and then walk the short distance to Peter's house for a potluck? Hell, he and Caryn might even have enough floor space for a slumber party. |
Funny you mentioned that Rick because Caryn and I have been talking about hosting an Andrews Bay gathering for years with a potluck either at our house or at one of the Picnic Shelters at Seward Park. Since it will be in the middle of winter, I would say our house would be the preferred venue.
Seriously Roger, let me know what you'd like to do and I'll help in any way I can. One caveat; no slumber party. _________________ Peter & Caryn

Will there be a motel central as in past shows?
I am currently working in Corvallis Oregon and hope to attend this show. _________________ Roger

Seawolf Joe and yours truly are planning on making the trip! I'll be flying in on ThurSday night and staying until Sunday mid day, Joe is driving up from Redding. We will probably go up and visit Dusty either Friday or Saturday during the day.

This is sounding great. I will plan on the Fri evening with their Root Beer, and the dinner, (Roger, you will need to S/U what you want for an address for the checks) and being at the b-show for some of the time. The idea of staying at Bell Harbor is pretty cool, (It's a great place, and Fisherman's Terminal is also pretty good too. Both are on the same data base, so there is some benefit if you have been at one or the other.
If I come on the boat I would be glad to share a ride with some new perspective owners. Looking froward to this.
Harvey

Roger(bum) is the C-Brat who is setting up the boat show CBGT. He is doing the arrangements and will be tho one (according to his post) to be renting the van and setting numbers with the brewery staff.
We will need to send the check for $15 per each Friday night meal at the brewery to Roger when / where he post that info. I don't think it has been posted yet.
BTW, WELCOME to the C-Brats and to C-Dorydom. Glad you found the right boat. Hope to get to meet up around the SBS CBGT, or on the water.
Harvey

ALERT! ALERT1 ALERT!
The dates give on the Home Page Calendar:
http://www.c-brats.com/calendar.php
are wrong!
The Calendar gives the dates as the weekend of Jan 30-Feb 1,
whereas the real SBS-SBGT is Jan 23-Jan 25.
If you've made plans for the later date in the month, an adjustment would be in order, etc!
I, unfortunately, gave someone else (nameless) bad info!
JOE. |

Maybe it has been changed or maybe I have a different calendar? But I looked up January 2015 and it has the correct, January 23-25 dates. I did notice that January 2014 has the "other" dates - maybe you were on January 2014 instead of January 2015?

Joe, I think you may have looked at the 2014 CB Calendar. The 2015 model seems to be in order.
I have found myself in similar situations frequently in recent years. Try looking through the bottom part of your glasses - it is amazing! Or, do as I finally did and get these fancy contacts that have the bifocal part all around the edge so you can read from any angle.
Thanks for keeping us on our toes (but then, that isn't all that comfortable as the years progress, either). |
