I have a little project I want to build for the boat and need some starboard. Does anyone know of a local supplier in the Puget Sound area? I know C-Dory uses it to cover the fuel tanks and the color is a good match so that would be nice too. Any help would be appreciated .
Thanks

I bought a 24" x 54" sheet from boatersworld no too long ago - this was the largest size that qualified for free shipping on orders over $100. The sheet itself was about $94 so I threw in some $6 do-dad. Considering that the shipping was free and there was no sales tax on the internet order, this might be the cheapest place to get a piece of that size. It's certainly cheaper than buying it at West Marine and for me, faster since I don't have that much time during the day to run around. _________________ Roger on Meant to be |

I went down to Tap Plastics today and got what I needed. Asked for a piece 2ft by 4ft and got one 3ft by 4ft for the same price as that was the piece left over from another customer. They also have LOTS of other misc. pieces of plastic stuff for making your project mind just go wild. I really liked the place and the person working there.

Wayne - just out of interest - what thickness was that sheet and what did it run you? |

Please note, that down in the brochure, Starboard says "this is not a structural material." For example, if you're using it to mount a depth transducer to the transom, it may break off. Spacers and shelving, that's OK. $24 wasted at West Marine.

I made a shelf for the splashwell area that holds my cooler and has storage for my knife and fish club. The trick was I wanted it securely attached to the boat without drilling holes. I still don't want to do any drilling as I like to test ideas for awhile first . I will post a picture latter, going to test it fishing today .
