We just aren't using this boat. I kept telling myself I would, but I'm not getting to it.
It's time for somebody else who can enjoy it, to own it. I'll run it here on C-Brats for a month, before kicking it onto Boattrader.com.
There are pictures of the Katie Kat in the albums. Here's a link
http://www.c-brats.com/modules.php?set_albumName=Katie-Kat&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php
I'll add to them with some extras. Not much has changed other then some interior upgrades

The boat has been under cover since I've owned it. The glass is still in very good shape, and looks even better now, then when I purchased the boat. The dealer was a little lax on the prep.

The base boat is the TC24, with the Wallas stove, stainless sink with foot pump, enclosed head. It has twin carbed Honda 90's. Boat holds about 100 gallons of fuel. Windlass with 300 ft of 1/2 inch rode, with 15ft of chain. Hull number #CDO24045I203
Motors have 90 hrs on them. The oil has been changed twice. Currently running Mobil1 10-30 Syn. I keep covers over the motors(they still look new). Skeg guards and Permatrims. The boat has been run in salt water, but always flushed, and 95% of the time, the return trip, involved a freshwater river to the launch ramp.

The adds..

Interior:
Garmin, GPSmap 238 Sounder(upper Gulf Coast chip)
Ritchie Compass
Marine radio, Standard Horizon Eclipse+
JVC AM/FM/CD player with own antennae(in a marine case). Speakers rotate to be used in the cockpit
Improved storage with pullouts under kitchen counter
Improved storage in fore sponsons(I added a lift out sub floor)
12volt coffee maker
Cockpit Bimini
Slant back cockpit cover
Window/door/hatch screening, and privacy screens(snap on)
New more comfortable Helm seat
Spanish Cedar used to raise aft seat, and for over head racks in pilot house, and for a grate on the floor in the head. Adds a bit of class, to the fiberglass.
Digital battery monitors

Cockpit and exterior:
Rod holder/radar arch/hat bill(see album photos)
6 stainless rod holders on stainless railing
Cockpit lighting
Cockpit vertical rod holders(2)
Cockpit tackle station
Cockpit bait table
I'll include the Big Jon Otter Boards, poles and reels.
Raw water cockpit wash down(I made a live well that works with this, and sets in the aft port corner of the cockpit. It's portable)
Raised aft cockpit seating, to accommodate a 1k Honda genie(N/I) in the aft locker.
Gas grill. Mounts on the rail over the motor well(never used). It stores under the sink, behind the pullouts.
Two of the heavier folding aluminum frame cockpit chairs

The Trailer is a Magic Tilt. I have had four wheel stainless disc brakes, and reverse lockout added. These are the original tires. Depending on where this goes, new rubber may be in the picture. I've added a safety chain as extra security to the front hookup. Cable, not a strap.

Batteries are 3 or 4 year old AGMs.

The last time the boat was on the water, everything worked fine. The boat was last tagged in 2011. Since then, I have flushed the carbs, and run the motors several times, and will do so again before the boat is sold. I use the tanks to store gas, and siphon it out as I need it, so the fuel in the tanks will be fresh. I use fuel stabilizer and Seafoam in my tanks religiously.

I thought that you had dropped off the end of the earth! Good boat for some one. I can look at it if anyone is interested--take more photos etc.

Good luck with the sale!

Thanks, Bob.

We're still alive, just being more like hermits then people anymore. It's good to see you here.
I'm not sure what happened, Life, is the usual answer. Smile
Our original plan for a pier never happened, and where we are, it's tough to get more away then we already are. If I want to be on the water, I step out on the back porch. I have my own piece of sand to call a beach, and can fish from the shore.
We bought a Hobie 2 seater kayak, with the Mirage drives, outriggers and a 90sqft sail, that is plenty for where we are, and gets us on the water. I like it alot.

Looks like a nicely modified Tomcat.

Any additional photos of your custom work. I looked at the photos and did not see any of the storage in fore sponsons

"Improved storage in fore sponsons(I added a lift out sub floor)".

Im curious for my own purposes, but im sure it will not hurt your sale to show more photos of your handiwork.

Sorry for the delay. My wife has been cleaning etc., and I am finishing up a couple of ideas I started a few years ago, and haven't snapped any more of the inside. Look for them by tomorrow evening.
I had originally planned on lining the inside of the berth, with some nice cork I purchased, and while my wife was cleaning, she said "you should do that, it'll look nicer". LOL...hence the delay.
The cork, has a slick finished surface on the exposed side, so it can be cleaned and wiped. It was originally made for floor covering. I did the center raised area of the ceiling originally, and never got to the berth as planned.

I installed a pair of Napa's best dual purpose batteries, and the bilge pumps and switches should be here today.

Thanks for the prod. Very Happy

Gordon

By the time you are done with your cleaning and sprucing up, you might decided to keep your boat.

I would love to see photos once they are done.
thanks,

I added some pics to the album.

redbaronace,
I really don't want to sell it, but I'm simply not using it.
I still think it's a great boat. All boats have those things that could be different or better, etc., but I think the 24 is a good all around boat.
It's large enough to do pretty much whatever you want, yet it can still be moved around on a trailer.
The shade offered by the pilot house, is great out on the Gulf.
The cat hull is terrific in my opinion. With the Permatrims, you can change the attitude of the boat for conditions, and the boat feels very stable.
We've had 6 adults on board before for a day trip, and it really didn't feel crowded.
I'm sure these are things your quite familiar with. Smile

Any photos of the tackle station, bait table, and live well / wash down setup?

Want to see it for reference and perhaps it might help you sale as well.

Give me a couple of days, and I'll get that posted for you. I'm going to replace the impellers in both motors, clean the carbs on the starboard motor for sure, replace the sparkplugs on both.
I'm putting in a new charging system, as well
I still intend to pull the floor in the head, so you can see how I built it, and trace a pattern of the false bottom in the port sponson.

I have a very nice couple, who are interested enough to have me deliver it to them when I'm done with what I've mentioned, and a couple of other things I may do also. Lord willing and the creek don't rise. We took it for a short ride on the Bay here yesterday, and with it's flaws they still like it. It put me in a blue mood though. I'll miss it. Hit 32.5 mph on the way back, with the wind behind us. Not bad for a pair of 90's.

Baring any unforeseen circumstances, the Katie Kat has been sold. I'm just wrapping up a few things, and plan on towing it down to south Florida, sometime next week(hopefully). The only odd duck right now, is the on board charger. Still haven't been notified by Defender Marine, that it has shipped.

I will post a few more photos to my Album in the next couple of days for redbaronace, regarding some things he was interested in, and that may help some other 24 owners.

Congrats on the sale.

Yes, please add as many photos as you can. With the relative scarcity of these and not knowing if the new buyer will join the forum, I would love to see the mods.

Also details of the dimensions and construction of head floor and sponson storage would be appreciated for current and future owners here.

Randy and Lisa are the new owners of the Kati....er...Dunwurkn Very Happy
Dropped the boat off at their home yesterday afternoon.

If those who have the power to do so, want to put "sold" in the title, that would be just dandy. Thankyou.
