ok guys got another question for you old cdory owners.
my 16ft angler has a pipe nipple screwed into the deck where the deck drops abt a 1 inch or so after the seats? i called the manufacture yesterday about this and they did not know what i was talking about?
do i need to remove the plug to drain it everytime i go out? where does the water come from ? do i have a leak?

Just speculating here, could it be something somebody added on to thread a mount of some kind to? _________________ Ken

This is a standard fitting for the 16' Angler (at least in the early 90's)
My assumption is, if you shipped a sea over the bow with your forward hatch open you would end up with a wake of water in your forward cuddy and it would be a bitch to bale it out. Presto the nipple should drain it back. But I can't say I have tried this to prove the aft draining connect to the forward compartment. Also leave the hatch open in a rain storm would have the same reason to require this drain.

My 89 Angler had the same fitting. My presumption was that it was there to drain the storage berth if water ever got in there, like through an open or leaking hatch. I only had mine off once and a small trickle came out when I did. I never did find out where the trickle came from... _________________ -Rod
