For the past several days I have been getting a security alert from Avast , my antivirus program, every time I log onto C-Brats. I'm not sure what might be getting through and into my computer, so this has me worried. Has anyone else noted this? _________________ When you come to a fork in the road, take it.

I've seen nothing and am 99% certain it's a bogus alert, but if you can provide more details I'll look into it.
I've yet to see a PC/Mac antivirus software alert for this web site that was accurate. I have seen one instance of a Firefox/Chrome browser "unsafe site" alert that was correct, and given the way these alerts are triggered I pay more attention to them. _________________ Will, C-Brat Nerd |

Most likely it has to do with some overly sensitive setting in the software's response to legitimate ads that are being served. However, it would be useful I'm sure, if you could oust just a bit more detail about the message the software is giving you. _________________ Roger on Meant to be |

The alert notes: js:redirector-bjb(trj) attempting to get through and that Avast was blocking it for be, but did allow C-Brats to enter as usual. The warning (both visual and audio), also said I could click on to their notice for further details. I finally clicked on (after my orig post) and was offered upgrades to my antivirus plan, which is otherwise free. It now seems they are trying to prod me to purchase additional features. I was warned that this might happen. But this was the first time the offer followed this format, and it was only happening on C-Dory. I also checked, online, what js:redirector-bjb(trj) is and it seems to be a Java update. I had recently tried to up-date Java as advised by wwvtime.gov, but it did not seem to ever happen. |
