Heck, just perk it the night before and reheat it.
If it was good coffee to begin with, it's good hot,
cold, or reheated.
Anyone who wont drink reheated coffee is drinking "Bilge"
to begin with.

I am coffee, have to have it, Star Bucks instant is excellent. Just try it and I'm sure you'll agree. I am a 16 Cruiser as well so I have to work with my limited space and recourses. _________________ The trouble is we think we have TIME Buddha |

We have gone to the Aeropress and a butane stove. Quick, easy and almost no clean up.
Have a French Press, but it is harder to clean up.

No the French guy is not flipping you off, and yes he makes the best coffee around. We use these at home, on the boat, camping, and take with us on vacation. This one is the large 12 cup, cups as in espresso cups. _________________ Jay

This is Jimi again about the coffee thing, I am using a low single gas burner that my wife put me on to. I also just bring frozen meals that are vacum packed at home and I use a single teflon pan to heat everything up. The clean up is simple and easy. Thats why I'm out on the boat to begin with, I've already done my lifes challenges. All my choices on boat stuff is based on a life of pack camping and you just can't carry weight to long before you have to get smarter. The 16 Cruiser is like four star camping for me. A Marine recently taught me to bathe with baby wipes and they rock. |

Thanks Jomi... I like the opening front windows on your 16, did you install those yourself? And if so, would you share the source?

No the windows aren't my skill level, a local boat builder did it for me. The piano hindges leak with heavy weather and I fixed it with Duck tape, just keep a roll on board. |

Charlie,
I got one of those for Christmas this year, haven't used it yet though but look forward to it. We normally use the French press. Christina boils up the water, presses the coffee, then stores the coffee in a thermos for the morning. She will have a cup or two, but I will drink coffee until its time to go to bed so we often have to make it twice per morning. I don't boat without me coffee. _________________ Dustin |
