Does anyone know where I can buy a bearing race installation and removal tool? I Have used the screw driver/hammer technique and the old race to set the new one, however, this method seems less than desirable. Also, placing the inner seal requires somewhat of a delicate touch, in that, if you damage it or not seat it correctly, the grease comes out the back all over the side of your nicely cleaned boat.

Thanks everyone.

Try Harbor Freight , search for bearing puller and pick the one you need.

If you want a good one, search the internet: bearing puller.

Grazer-

Any local automotive parts house will have such a tool kit, perhaps in both a "professional" grade, and another one more priced toward DIY use.

However, you can probably find one for less on an Internet site, if you can afford a couple of days of wait time.

Thanks everyone.
Local Boy, that is exactly what I was looking for! They ship to Canada and the price looks good too. I love this site!

Thanks again,
Grazer

You should be able to get the Tool Bearing Race and Seal Driver Kit at the NAPA, NIS or Acklands stores in Whitehorse.
