The search for the Capitana is being funded by $6,000 in private donations, Amer said. The crew from the Maritime Research Division of the S.C. Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology will work from a 25-foot C-Hawk research vessel in Winyah Bay for three weeks
It said "c-hawk" right in the article. Its a east coast built boat. http://www.chawkboats.com/boats.html#25standard _________________ Thomas J Elliott

I thought it was just a name (like C-Dawg-E, etc.). |

I looked at these when I was shopping. Good, solid boat, but heavier than a C-Dory, deeper vee (between 10 and 15 degree deadrise, depending on model), higher horsepower requirements. Made in Bailey, NC. Also looked at Parker, a similar design from Beaufort, NC. _________________ Tom on Otter |
