I am down to one cabin door key and my lock smith is having a hard time finding a key blank that will work, the lock says Trioving and the key says Trioving Noraway, the boat is a 2008 25, looking for some of that great tech help from my fellow C-Brats _________________ Marc and Nancy

I had the same problem, only one key. I ordered two blanks from Diamond Sea Glaze, 1-800-770-0455. I gave them the number from the one key I had. Two blanks cost about $22 including shippinng and $1.00 each to have the local locksmith cut them.
Good Luck

As it happens, there'a a locksmith in little New Bern, NC who stocks the required ILCO TO6 key blanks.
I had two Trioving door keys made the other day for a total cost of $10. I suspect they would sell the blanks at the same price. (Both keys work well in our 2006 25!)

Hi Windwalker:
We did as Gary suggested, and ordered replacement keys directly from Diamond Sea Glaze. They were very helpful, and we received new blanks in a timely fashion.
It was no problem to take the new blank to a local locksmith, and have them copy the key.
I, too, was nervous with only one key. The cost in June 2010 is listed, but I suspect it is higher now.
Good Luck,
Bob
Here is the email we received from Diamond Sea Glaze with all contact info:
<Replacement TrioVing key blanks are US$5.50 each plus freight and are
readily available from our company. You will have to take the blanks to
your local locksmith or hardware store to have them cut. If you would
like to place an order please call our office and any of the sales staff
will be able to help you.
Best Regards,
Gordon

Make sure you take the keys to a real locksmith! We've had spares cut by Fred Meyer and Home Depot that would both jam in the lock and only unlock the door -- they were almost impossible to lock with.
The automatic machines are kind of crap. We were going to get brand new keys made by a local locksmith that carried the T06, but he offered to regrind our malfunctioning keys against the master for free. Now they all work and he refused to accept money even though I didn't buy the blanks from him! Great service (Ballard Lock and Key if anyone's in Seattle and needs Trioving keys copied). |
