I just saw this video and wanted to pass it on as a safety reminder. Always wear your PFD in dangerous waters. _________________ Pete

Good advice Pete. The manually inflatable PFD shown in the news clip are the same ones we use for guests on our boat. We upgraded to the new self-inflating (hydrostatic) PFDs at the Seattle Boat Show.
This style of PFD is comfortable enough to be worn all the time.
Be safe, wear your PFD.

Good advice but the link has "expired" as it was a news item on KATU TV. I was looking in the search for "inflatable" and "pfd" info, looking at upgrade or replace. Had a unit get inflated intentionally will on the dock. Somebody pulled the wrong (yellow, T handle) will donning on the dock.
