Almost free, sounds like I am in Mexico. We have been looking at BBQ's for a bit to add on our 22 and then a buddy just offered a Sea-B Que L by Dickinson 2 years old for free and in good shape so they say with out looking at it. Just wondering if anybody has one and how they mounted or if it is just a dock side thing. Thanks in advance
T.

26 lbs but close. My mother has one on her boat. its rail mounted over the stern. We have cook may a good meal on it over the last two summers. She had a smaller older one of the same brand that is now in my garage. I am use it but have not tried to mount it yet.

Just Bought the smaller version of the Dickinson Sea-B-Que which weighs 18 lbs.
It will be mounted on my scotty rod holder blocks, with a second option to use it on the dock.
I plan to make storage hatches in the V-berth and it looks like this unit fits there.

We have a Dickinson Spitfire grill. We have the optional griddle plate and have cooked eggs on it. That just sits on one side. I built a rack for the unit on our radar arch. That keeps last nights dinner smells out of the boat. Our album shows all the mount setups we use. Pics in separate nested album on the first page of Will-C's album. We have cooked a lot on it. We mostly have used on shore. Some unlucky fish and a few steaks have seen it when we cook on the boat using a rod holder mount. It's pretty simple seems to work well the piezo electric starter (push button) still lights it after a couple of years.

Thanks everyone. I think I will look at the smaller version as it is only the two of us on board for the most part.

I just got one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/Coleman-Fold-Go-Portable-Grill/dp/B001RTY0JA/ref=sr_1_7?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1363309716&sr=1-7&keywords=coleman+fold+n+go+stove

I used it on my recent cruise in Florida and it was great. Very light and compact, stores easily and really cooked well. My Magma is going in the trash!

The small Dickinson BarBQ is currently on sale at Steveston Marine for $189.99.
Check it out at:

I am thinking of getting one too.

It is not an easy choice. I like the Dickinson but some of the Magma can be used as a oven. Then there is the mounting issue. Sheesh louise Confused Confused
