We just got back from the show. Wow what a great time. All the credit goes to Roger. he handled it all and just bounced ideas off of me and let me drive the van. Friday night was a great time. We loaded up the van in seattle and headed out for the brew pub. I only took one small detour when I missed the lane for 90 and ended up south on 405 for a couple of miles. But with Larry's help and encouragement I was soon back on track. I did not hear any complaints about my driving but that may have just been the fear keeping them quite.
The dinner at the pub was very good and I really enjoyed The talk and slide show that Sam gave, what I could hear of it It was great to see a lot of old friends. Got to know some new friends over drinks in the hotel bar when we got back.
Breakfast in the morning at the hotel and then off to the show. We meet a lot of friend's wondering around the show. We got to look at a lot of boats and new items. The 30 ft cut water is really nice and has a lot of really neat ideas. Every time you look at it you see another feature that can be flipped over or turned around to reveal another useful feature. Built in seats in the bow, flipp over seat to counter tops in the cabin. The bow rail has a ladder right off the tip for beach landing. The boat is a little to plush for my likes, Just leather everywhere. I would be to afraid over messing it up to use it. Susan's favorite boat was the Ocean sport Roamer 33. With twin diesel's The 33 with get 2.2 mpg at 30 knots. That's as good as my 27 at 25 knots but at 365K I might have to wait awhile.
Saturday night was a dinner and a work out. I think that Rogers 1/2 mile guess/ hope was more like 1 mile each way to the Chinese place. Nothing like working off dinner. And again back to the hotel for drinks with friends.
Sunday was another great day and also Susan's birthday. We spent most of the day at the floating boat show with Don looking at lottery boats. Man there are some really nice boats down there. Another great boat show in the books thanks to Roger. _________________ Thomas J Elliott

Sure sorry to miss the show. Sounds like a great time, as usual.
Tom, Susan has great taste. That Ocean Sport 33 is my favorite too, but not likely to be mine unless I win that lottery. If I do, I'll be sure to take you two for a ride. And it has twins too

We took a flight from California to Seattle to attend the boat show and for the first time ever a C-Brats meeting.
We, Diane and Heinz, were pleasantly surprised with the exceptionally warm welcome by the Washington C-Brats group. We met a lot of great people and made new friends. Thank you very much to all who were so willing to share their personal boating experiences and technical C-Dory knowledge with us as we are new to cruising and have planned to take the inside passage to Alaska in the spring of 2014. The Friday and Saturday evening C-Brats gatherings were definitely the highlight of our Seattle visit…
We are committed to accepting the invitation to join the Seattle C-Brats group in May at Friday Harbor and to meet our new friends again. _________________ "Life is Good" |

I keep looking at the Album of "Boats on Display" and am amazed to find that most of them have two legs and a big smile Did anyone take any pictures of the aquatic version ??
I can quite understand not showing anything from the Tap room, what happens there, clearly stays there
