I am debating on having one of the canvas curtain type doors put on my 16. I'd be interested to hear from other people who have a 16 with one of these on it. Do you use it or is not. I am getting a sloper back canvas to keep the rain out when the boat is stored so I don't need the curtain for that purpose. Please let me know what you all think....thanks

I had one made form my 16 a couple of years ago and I use it a lot. I think it cost $400. Two piece with zipper in the middle and 3 ft windows in each.
With a little buddy heater I use it all winter running over to shop or just take a ride.

I consider it somewhat indispensable. It's good for rainy days, cooler and cold days, closing up the cabin when docked, or just to quiet down the motor noise. Granted, most of the time when running the door section is rolled up, but, it's easy enough just to reach back and release the snaps and let the door roll down when needed By the way, if you do get one, make sure it has a door piece with a zipper on each side rather than just a walk-thru slit in the middle. Now for deciding the color!

Like dotnmarty said, I couldn't live without mine. And I'd like to echo the three-piece idea, you don't want just a central slit.

Try it, you'll like it!

Cheers!
